A Wino's Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide

Updated: Jan 30, 2022

Christmas is upon us! Need some wine gifting ideas? I've got you covered! Everything from functional tools to wine-inspired artwork, you'll find it all in this complete list of gifts for a special wine lover in your life! ! This page does contain affiliate links, which means I may make a small commission if you purchase from the links on this page.

Tools & Gadgets

Let's start simple! Wine stoppers will make the best stocking stuffer! These Houdini Silicone Stoppers are my favorite, but I know my mom would be super into a cute set like this that includes glass markers!

A Champagne stopper is probably the tool you never knew your bestie needed! Keep your bubbly bubbling a little while longer with this stopper on Amazon!

Everyone needs a wine key! Go simple and classic with the Houdini from Amazon or have some fun and try an electric corkscrew! It's a great gift for that friend who always manages to break the cork! Grab one at Target or Amazon!

Then there's this Rabbit corkscrew. I like a classic wine key, but there is something about using a gadget like this - it fascinates me every time!

Now, let's talk decanters! If you have the patience to use one, your wine will thank you!! I think a wine decanter is functional and absolutely beautiful. Use this as an opportunity to hit up your local glassworks to see what a local artist may have available! Local to me, there's Akron Glassworks. If there isn't a glass shop near to you, or you aren't finding what you have in mind, head to Riedel where you're sure to find a beautiful piece. Moving on to the most coveted wine gadget. I wish these babies were just a touch cheaper because EVERYONE needs a Coravin wine preservation system. This allows you to have a glass (or even just a taste) without removing the cork from the bottle and preserving the wine for several weeks! The good news is, there are a few models now so there are more budget-friendly options and you can always count on Amazon for a good sale!

Glassware Stemless are valuable to many moms like me, I just know it. Here's another great item to look for at your local glass shop, but I also love World Market for a festive selection!

For a stemmed glass (and also a splurge - save this for a wino you really love) check out Jancis Robinson's timeless collection, good for any wine. Jancis is a wine icon, so I'm just going to trust her on this.

I saved the best for last here!! I am freaking obsessed with this Aura Collection from Dragon Glassware. Take your pick! Stemless, classic stemmed, or Champagne flute! Don't love this look? The Diamond Collection is super fun, too!

Okay, now you need somewhere to set that glass!! Check out these super cute handmade coasters at Botanical Knots Studio and support a small business!! I recently made a few purchases from her shop and I promise you, you'll be happy!

Education

Know a wino always thirsty for knowledge? Check out these books, many of which are in my personal collection! Wine Folly's Essential Guide to Wine

The Oxford Companion to Wine The World Atlas of Wine The Wine Bible Go a little further with the gift of education! Check out all the online (and in-person) courses Napa Valley Wine Academy has to offer! Options for your average wino wanting to dive a little deeper or a serious wine pro!

Art and Decor Now, how about that special someone who is into wine and art? These are a few of my favorite wine-inspired art pieces and decor!

Check out Staving Artist Woodwork for some unique decor made from the staves of wine barrels! I was gifted a Finger Lakes stave and it is so special to me! It hangs near my wine bar and reminds me of my family and our great memories in the Finger Lakes.

Is it possible this gift guide keeps getting better? You guys, how are cool these paintings from Elysia Myers Wine Art?? Elysia uses wine to make unique and beautiful paintings and even holds online events and classes to show you how to paint with wine, too! Yes! And I have one last wine and cocktail-inspired artist for you! The Print Distillery has minimalistic watercolors that I seriously want in my house! What did I miss? Let me know what you're gifting your favorite wino!
